The Howlong Golf Resort, Thurgoona Country Club Resort and Corowa Golf Club are situated at the top end of the mighty Murray River. The Murray River is Australia's longest river. The Murray rises in the Australian Alps and then meanders across Australia's inland plains, forming the border between the states of New South Wales and Victoria past Albury, Howlong and Corowa. These 3 well renowned golf courses have joined forces to offer 2 sensational annual tournaments - the Top of the Murray and Murray Masters.
A Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge designed course that will challenge golfers of all abilities. Thurgoona Country Club Resort offer beautifully covered couch fairways, large bent grass greens with subtle slopes, strategically placed bunkers and enough water to make even the most experienced golfer think twice. Their 18-hole championship course is 6372m, par 72 for the men and 5480m, par 74 for the ladies.
Howlong with its picturesque, tight challenging fairways provides a challenge for players of all abilities. Beautifully landscaped lakes provide a challenge to four holes and a number of well-placed bunkers will test your golfing prowess. Howlong Golf Resort is a Clubs NSW award winning golf club, a previous winner of the Jack Newton Junior Golf Club of the Year, and they have hosted the NSW Open Qualifier. The 18 hole course is a pleasure to play, whatever the season.
Corowa is nestled amongst river gums along the course of the Murray River and provides a challenging and rewarding round that only a course of this age can. Touring professional Marcus Fraser learned his craft on this course. Corowa Golf Club has a 27 hole championship golf course, pro shop, modern clubhouse and motel. Situated in the heart of the renowned Rutherglen wine district and an easy 30 minute drive from Albury-Wodonga.
